Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) states, diarrheal disease is a disease characterized by changes in the shape and consistency of loose stools until they melt. Until now, diarrhea is still a public problem and is one of the environmental-based infectious diseases which is currently an important health problem when viewed from the morbidity and mortality rates in Indonesia. Based on the results of the survey, the high mortality rate for children under five on average is caused by a number of diseases, such as acute respiratory infections (ARI), high fever and diarrhea (Kemenkes RI, 2019). The design of this study used a pre-experimental research design. Pre-experimental research design in the form of one group pre-post test design. In this design, a group before being treated was given a pre-test, then after the treatment, measurements were taken again to find out the consequences of the treatment. (Nursalam, 2016). The sampling of this research used purposive sampling and got 25 samples, the way of collecting data was using a questionnaire. Wilcoxon test data analysis. The results showed that before treatment most of the responden (76 %) have less knowledge  and after the treatment almost half of respondent have sufficient knowledge with p-value = 0.001 < = ɑ 0.05, it means that there is an effect of health education with video media on children's knowledge in preventing diarrhea at SDN 1 Batu Kumbung. It is recommended that the results of this study can be used as a reference for managing health education with video media on children's knowledge in preventing diarrhea.
